Berlin is home to beautiful and engaging places to visit. There are monuments, churches, gorgeous country, varied cultural exhibits, shows, and museums. Try out some juicy food, as Berlin has cultures coming together from many parts of the EU Union as well as other places in the world. There are cafes, great hotels, government buildings, streets and shops, theaters and operas, so many places to see in Berlin that you hope to have sufficient time to take it all in. In the wintertime it is reasonably cold.

The summers are moderate and pleasurable, averaging at roughly seventy degrees Fahrenheit. There can be humid days ; Berlin is nearby many lakes and forest areas that have an effect on the weather. This landmark is featured on many German coins. The massive columns open up to an entryway that, formerly, had a row of linden trees along the way direct to the center of the government Offices. This monument was revived in a project during 2002. Here there is also a statue celebrating a German poet.

Across the square is the German Cathedral, built in 1708. Now it also is a museum of local history. Both of the cathedrals suffered damage damaged in the second World War, often by fire. The German Cathedral was completely rebuilt about sixty years back and the French Cathedral had major renovations to restore it. the concert hall, called Konzerthaus Berlin opened in 1821 and hosts the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Also in the square every year is a huge and well known Xmas market.

Near the square is a Protestant cathedral. To get to this site, you've got to go across a ferry to Frenzy island that has a number of other old buildings there from Prussian Royalty.

For a more upscale take on the city, visit Hackescher Market for lots of name brand shopping, outlets, and restaurants.

One regime building to see is the home of parliament. This is known as the Reichstag building and stands out in some ways. On the facade, it is stately with big pillars and classic design. One unique feature is a domed, glass ceiling that overlooks the parliament officers in session. There is a walkway round the glass ceiling so that voters and visitors can view their executive in action.

Hallmarks of culture in Berlin include MTV's ECU HQ, Popkomm, the largest music convention in Europe is moving to Berlin, and being a Sister town with Los Angeles, there's a huge and growing center in German film and television production.

Many museums are grouped together in the Museum Island, including museums to traditional Egypt, Classic painters, German history, and many more. UNESCO has honored Museum Island as a World Heritage Site, and one of the Berlin places to see that you shouldn't miss.
